Danilo Agustin "JR" Pinnock (born December 11, 1983 in Fort Hood , Texas ) is an American basketball player .

Pinnock, whose parents immigrated to the United States from Panama , began his career in 2003 for George Washington University in the North American college league NCAA . In 2004 he was elected to the all rookie team in their Atlantic 10 division, in 2005 to the sixth best player of the year and in 2006 to the All Atlantic 10 first team, in which the best five players in the division are represented. In his senior year he had 14.5 points, 5.3 rebounds , 3.1 assists and 2.4 ball wins per game in 30 games with a field throw rate of 48.5% (164/338). From the three-point line he achieved a hit rate of 27.5% (25/91). After completing his third year of college, he then signed up for the NBA Draft .

Pinnock has also been a member of the Panama senior team since 2005 . At the American Championship in 2005 he scored 13.5 points per game in eight games for the Central Americans and hit 44 of his 88 field throw attempts. In 2006 the Combo Guard should fly to Japan with the Panamanian contingent for the World Cup . Shortly before the planned departure to Panama, he had to give national coach Guillermo Vecchio a rejection because he had lost his Panamanian passport.

From the Dallas Mavericks Pinnock was selected at the end of June 2006 in the NBA Draft in the 2nd round in 58th place. He was then passed on to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a future second round pick . Up to October 26, 2006 Pinnock belonged to their preseason squad, but fell victim to a squad downsizing shortly before the start of the season. In six preparation games, the 1.93 m (according to other information 1.95 m) tall Pinnock scored an average of 1.8 points per game.

From November 2006 to January 24, 2007 Pinnock was part of the Gießen 46ers' squad . However, the contract with the builder and winger was terminated by mutual agreement for disciplinary reasons.

In the summer of 2007 he took part in the American Championships with the Panamanian national team. He was able to make an average of 16.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in four games .

Danilo Pinnock had been on the Portland Trail Blazers team since October 1, 2007 , but was released on October 15 . In the only preparation game that Pinnock played for the Blazers, he scored 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals ( October 12 at the Denver Nuggets ).

Pinnock, whose father is also called Danilo, let himself be called "JR" for junior at a young age. Since the end of 2005 he has been performing under his real first name.
