Danuta Stenka (born October 10, 1961 in Sierakowice ) is a Polish actress .

Life

Danuta Stenka is an actress who became one of the most popular actresses in Poland in 2004 thanks to her leading role in the romantic comedy film Never in Life . The film adaptation of the bestseller of the same name by Katarzyna Grochola (published in Germany under the title The Sky Blue Hour ), which is compared with the diaries of Bridget Jones , is never in his life . Danuta Stenka is also referred to as the Polish Bridget Jones through the film. In 2003 she was also awarded the Polish Film Prize for Best Actress for her role as George Sand in Jerzy Antczak's drama Chopin - Longing for Love . Five years later, she received the same award for Best Supporting Actress for Andrzej Wajda's Oscar- nominated war drama The Katyn Massacre .
