Dany Garcia (born November 29, 1968 in Belleville , New Jersey or Miami , Florida ) is an American film producer .

Career

Garcia is the daughter of Cuban immigrants and grew up in New Jersey . She received her bachelor's degree in International Marketing and Finance from the University of Miami in 1992 .

Garcia produces many films for or with her ex-husband, Dwayne Johnson , of whom she is also the manager. Both were married from 1997 to 2008; their daughter Simone (* 2001) emerged from the marriage. Garcia is currently married to bodybuilder Dave Rienzi.

Garcia and Johnson founded the production company Seven Bucks Productions in 2012 , which has since produced many films with Johnson.
