Daone (German outdated: Don ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Valdaone and until 2014 was an independent municipality in Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol .
geography
Daone is located about 40.5 kilometers west-southwest of Trento at 767 mslm on the Chiese river in the Val Daone (German Daone Valley) in the Inner Judiciary .
history
Effective January 1, 2015, Daone was merged with the municipalities of Bersone and Praso to form the new municipality of Valdaone .
The municipality of Daone had 587 inhabitants on December 31, 2013 on an area of 158.6 km². The municipality bordered directly on the province of Brescia ( Lombardy ). Neighboring municipalities were Bersone , Breguzzo , Breno ( BS ), Castel Condino , Ceto (BS), Cevo (BS), Cimego , Condino , Lardaro , Massimeno , Pelugo , Praso , Roncone , Saviore dell'Adamello (BS), Spiazzo , Strembo and Villa Rendena .
