Dario Argento's World of Horror (Original title: Il Mondo dell'orrore di Dario Argento ) is an Italian documentary that was released in 1985. The film shows the career and works of the Italian horror film and Giallo director Dario Argento . At the same time, the film is the directorial debut of Michele Soavi , who was also responsible for production and screenplay and later made horror films such as Dellamorte Dellamore himself .

The documentary includes several interviews with Dario Argento and many other stars who participated in his films, further many clips and "Behind the Scenes" ( " Behind the scenes ") materials of the sets of the films. Because so many films of Dario Argento cut or were not available, and World of Horror contained many of the shortened scenes, the film quickly reached cult status among genre fans. One of the most famous scenes in World of Horror is certainly the double murder at the beginning of Suspiria, not shown in the actual film .

World of Horror is only available in Germany as a state unchecked and abridged version as a bonus of a Suspiria purchase DVD or as a bootleg . Unabridged versions of Synapse films and Anchor Bay Entertainment have been released in the United States and Great Britain .
