Dariusz Kajetan Rosati (born August 8, 1946 in Radom ) is a Polish economist and politician .

Rosati studied at the Warsaw University of Economics , where he also obtained his doctorate and habilitation. Between 1966 and 1990 he was a member of the PZPR , for which he was also active in several scientific commissions. In the semi-free parliamentary elections in 1989 , he unsuccessfully applied for a seat in the Senate for the PZPR. After 1989 he worked as an expert for various international organizations, including the United Nations Economic Commission in Geneva.

Rosati was Polish Foreign Minister from December 29, 1995 to October 31, 1997 in the cabinets of Józef Oleksy and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz (both SLD ). In the 2004 election he was the SDPL the European Parliament voted. After the SDPL failed to return to the European Parliament in 2009, it initially resigned from parliament. In the 2011 parliamentary elections , he ran successfully for the PO and entered as a deputy in the Sejm. In the European elections in 2014 , he also successfully ran for the PO and moved back to the European Parliament. In 2019 he left the European Parliament.
