Dartchandé (also: Darkiendé , Darkindé , Dartchendé ) is a village in the rural community of Dargol in Niger .

The village, led by a traditional chief (chef traditionnel) , is located about 19 kilometers southeast of the village of Dargol, the capital of the rural municipality of the same name, which belongs to the Gothèye department in the Tillabéri region. Larger villages around Dartchandé are the approximately seven kilometers away Koulikoira in the east, around nine kilometers away Guériel in the southwest and around five kilometers away Bangou Tara in the West. Dartchandé is located on the Dargol River .

At the 2012 census, Dartchandé had 2643 inhabitants who lived in 310 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 2,095 in 257 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 2,054 in 268 households.

A relatively large number of Djesseré live in dartchandé , a special kind of narrator who pass on historical traditions in long lectures. These are both Timeï , Djesseré in the Songhai - Zarma tradition and Mâbo , Djesseré in the Fulbe tradition. The village is also a center for long-term storytelling training. National road 4 runs through Dartchandé .
