Das Bierbeben is a Berlin and Hamburg electro- punk band consisting of the artist group Im Namen des Volkes . This includes Julia Wilton (formerly with the girl-punk group Pop Tarts), Rasmus Engler (member of Gary , Herrenmagazin , Dirty Dishes and many others), Jan Müller (bassist with Tocotronic , vocalist with Dirty Dishes) and since summer 2008 also Alex Tsitsigias ( junk border , station 17 )
history
Until 2008 Thies Mynther (known for his work in bands like Stella, Superpunk and Phantom / Ghost ) and Jessica Drosten also belonged to Das Bierbeben. So far two albums, an EP and various singles have been released on the Shitkatapult label . A third untitled album was released on April 10, 2009 on Shitkatapult.
style
The band played cover versions of well-known underground German punk groups (Junge Front, Schleim-Keim , OHL ) in the appropriate style on their debut 7, "Die Pear ist rif" (The pear is ripe ), while some alienated vocal tracks were placed over them Difficult to obtain at the time of their publication, as they could only officially be bought if you answered three questions specific to German punk from the publisher.
