criticism

rap.de: “ All in all,“ Das Leben Ist Saad ”is a more than successful debut. Saad exceeds all expectations and is more diverse than ever before. Who would have thought beforehand that Bremen's most famous rapper would present us an album like this one with almost no weaknesses? Buyers of this record will certainly not have to make use of their right to exchange and perhaps the numerous critics will at least pay Saad the respect he has clearly earned with this. "

The German hip-hop magazine Juice called Das Leben ist Saad “proof” of the increasing relevance of German-speaking rap and awarded the record 4.5 out of a possible 6 “crowns”. In the evaluation, the beats are highlighted positively. According to the editor in charge, these fit “perfectly into the coherent tension of the album”. The guest appearances of the rappers Chakuza and Bizzy Montana are seen as negative.

"Essentially, Saad deals with the pitfalls of his own life in an authentic way - whether it is the subject of the civil war in [...] Lebanon , the lack of perspective and hostility in the social hot spots, the absence of his father as a male caregiver, relationship problems, the The feeling of life of the disaffected post-fun generation or the death of a close friend in a senseless club argument. Saad is certainly not reinventing the rap wheel, his rhyme technique and diction are too influenced by his obvious role models Bushido and Azad. […] Nevertheless, the self-confidence with which Baba Saad stands for his hip-hop design is new. Here, a position is taken on one's own issues, from one's own language and clothing codes to one's own musical influences. "
