The module (band)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The module was a dance band popular in the 1990s , consisting of Yasemin Baysal and Dierk Schmidt, produced by Felix J. Gauder and Olaf Roberto Bossi .

biography

The producer Felix J. Gauder (including known by E-Rotic , Novaspace and Blue Lagoon ) and Olaf Roberto Bossi, who primarily as a songwriter and arranger works, met old during the sifting of records to the single computer love of Paso Doble in 1985 in the German top 20 . Then the plan came up to cover the song . The name for this project was agreed on The Module . With Yasemin Baysal and Dierk Schmidt , two artists were quickly found who embodied Das Modul in videos and live performances. Most of the singing was done by Olaf Bossi. The management was taken over by Andreas "Bär" Läskers Bear Music Factory.

The cover version Computerliebe reached the top 10 in Germany and Austria and the top 20 in Switzerland at the beginning of 1995 . The song sold 440,000 copies and was awarded gold . Kleine Maus also reached high chart positions in the summer of that year and sold 350,000 times. The successor 1100101 made it into the top 20 only in Germany, in Austria there was at least a top 40 place. After the next single release Spring Fever , the melody of which was based on I Just Can't Wait by Mandy Smith , Baysal, who had sung the single herself, was replaced by Denise Hameley . Spring Fever was released in April 1996 and entered the top 30 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Robby Roboter , the project's last single in the charts, only succeeded in Germany in August of that year.

After a long break, the new single Ich will (a cover of UKW ) was released in 1998 with Keren May as the singer. The single missed a chart placement.

In 2001 the remake Computerliebe 7.1 followed under the project name Das Modul vs. E-love .
