Olaf Roberto Bossi (born February 15, 1971 in Stuttgart ) is a German - Italian musician , cabaret artist and songwriter .

biography

Olaf Bossi grew up as the child of an Italian mother and a German-Italian father in Stuttgart. There he attended the Uhlandshöhe Waldorf School, which he graduated from high school in 1990. During his school days, he founded a school band with Felix Gauder, with whom he still works today, which, however, disbanded at the end of school.

After graduating from high school, in addition to working as a songwriter and producer, he studied law and fashion design for a few semesters before devoting himself exclusively to music in 1994 after the first chart placement. With the Eurodance project The Free and especially with Das Modul , he achieved numerous chart placements. The module has also received multiple gold awards and was nominated for the 1996 Echo .

From the mid-2000s he attended the Comedy Academy and subsequently appeared as a stand-up comedian for several years (including in the Quatsch Comedy Club , WDR Fun (k) haus and NightWash ).

From 2009 to 2010 Bossi had his own comedy show with Bossi's Comedy Club in the Café Stella in Stuttgart , to which he invited comedy and cabaret colleagues and which he presented himself. In 2010 he ended his stage career and devoted himself more to his work as a composer and lyricist for other artists, primarily in the field of hits . The collaborations with Beatrice Egli , Oliver Haidt and Wolkenfrei were awarded gold records and with Wolkenfrei he won the Echo 2016 in the Schlager category .

Since 2012 Bossi has been back on stage as a songwriter and cabaret artist . He premiered his first solo program "Glücklich wie ein Klaus" in October 2013 and went on tour in Germany and Switzerland. Currently (winter 2019/2020) he is with the program “Finally a minimalist ... but where to put my things?” On the cabaret.

In the meantime he has been awarded several cabaret prizes (see below).

Olaf Bossi is married, has two children and lives with his family in Stuttgart.
