Ulf Krüger (born September 3, 1947 in Uelzen ) works as a musician, lyricist, composer, producer, author and manager in Hamburg .

Life

In the 1960s Ulf Krüger played in various beat bands, including the Hamburg Star Club . From 1969 to 1973 Krüger studied fine art at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. This was followed by book and magazine illustrations as well as LP covers and cartoons, among others for Henning Venske , Gottfried Böttger , Lonzo , Stephan Remmler , Lonnie Donegan and Leinemann .

During the 1970s and 1980s he was a founding member of the Leinemann group. To this day he is involved in several hundred music titles and sketches as author and producer, including various chart successes.

From 1986 to 2011 Ulf Krüger with his company K&K Center of Beat was the sole representative of the photographer Astrid Kirchherr , for several years he also represented Klaus Voormann . On behalf of Apple Corps , Krüger did research for the Hamburg section of the Beatles Anthology . For the film Backbeat he worked as a historical advisor. Krüger was instrumental in the creation of Beatles-Platz and the Beatlemania exhibition in Hamburg. He organized several major events ( Estrel Beatles Festival Berlin , The Hamburg Sound in the Hamburg Museum ). From 2005 to 2013 Ulf Krüger was artistic director for the renowned John Lennon Talent Award . Since 2011 he has been working increasingly as a painter and graphic artist.
