Das ist Sternschuppe was an ARD evening series that was first broadcast in February 1965 in the regional program of Saarland Radio . The episodes ran on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:25 p.m. The series, shot in black and white, was produced by Telefilm Saar GmbH

action

Mr. Stern gets a job at the Super credit agency . His first job, which he received from the owner, Ms. Demut: the replacement of missing transformer sheets in the United Metal Union's plant . Although Stern goes to work full of enthusiasm, he always stumbles across other criminal cases that he can successfully solve at the end of an episode. When CEO Reymer asked what happened to his metal sheets, Stern regularly replied: "I've forgotten that, but tomorrow is still another day."

Others

The series mixed the comedic with the criminal and thus pioneered the genre. Mr. Stern acted in anticipated Columbo manner: looking naive, inconspicuous, but highly intelligent. And Mr. Stern had evidently not been given a first name either.

When the series was first broadcast, the individual episodes had no titles; titles were only added to the episodes when the series was also shown on other regional channels.

Frank Strecker , in later years a director and actor, was assistant director in episodes 4–7 and subsequently participated in the gas station .

In the last episode Abducted Venus , Elke Herrmann is listed in the cast list. This is the later evening news presenter Elke Herrmann , who in 1962 as a speaker at the Saarland Radio worked and was originally to be an actress. She plays in two more episodes.

The series was shot in 1964 in and around Saarbrücken , one episode is set in France .

Reviews

The crime website describes the episodes as funny and exciting at the same time and finds the idea that the detective always clears up the "wrong" cases instead of working on the actual assignment, original.
