Gertrud Roll

Gertrud Roll (born March 17, 1936 in Heidelberg , Germany ) is a German actress .

Life

She grew up in Freiburg im Breisgau and attended the Stuttgart drama school after graduating from high school. From 1957 to 1960 she played in Stuttgart at the comedy in Marquardt . Roll had numerous engagements in Saarbrücken , Freiburg im Breisgau, Bremen , at the Schauspielhaus Vienna , at the Vienna Volkstheater , at the Cologne Schauspielhaus and at the Klagenfurt City Theater . In 2006 she won the Nestroy for the best supporting role as Countess in When Darkness fell at the Klagenfurt City Theater. In 2009 she was seen in the dramatization of Ingeborg Bachmann's novel Malina at the Graz Schauspielhaus . In 2012 she played Madame Oberlin in Georg Büchner's Lenz at the Salzburg Festival , directed by Cornelia Rainer .
