Dauersberg is a district of Betzdorf in Rhineland-Palatinate . The place is called "Doaschbich" in dialect.

Geographical location

The village is located in the northern foothills of the Westerwald towards the Siegerland , south of Betzdorf ; Neighboring communities are Steineroth , Weiselstein, Elben and Betzdorf. Dauersberg is on Kreisstraße 107.

history

Dauersberg was first mentioned in a document in 1291 .

On June 7, 1969, the previously independent community of Dauersberg with 193 inhabitants at the time was incorporated into Betzdorf .

In 1970 the Dauersberg substation was built.

Dauersberg is designated as the only local district of Betzdorf and has a local advisory board and a local councilor .

The local advisory board consists of five local advisory board members. In the local elections on May 26, 2019 , the advisory board members were elected by majority vote.

The head of the village is Georg Groß. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was re-elected with 70.44% of the vote.
