David Fuster Torrijos (born February 3, 1982 in Oliva ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Fuster began his career at his hometown club UD Oliva, where he was brought into the first team in 2002. In 2004 he moved to FC Villarreal , where he was used in the B team. In its first season, the second team played in the fourth highest Spanish division. In 2006/07 the ascent was achieved. Until 2008 he was active in the second team.

In the 2008/09 season he moved to the second highest Spanish league for FC Elche, at the end of the season the twelfth final rank could be achieved. At the beginning of the 2009/10 season, Fuster returned to Villarreal and was able to distinguish himself as a regular in the first team. The Spaniard made his debut in the Primera División on February 13, 2009 against RCD Mallorca . Fuster came on for Ariel Ibagaza in the 58th minute . The game ended in a 1-1 draw. The midfielder scored his first goal in the top Spanish league on November 8, 2009 in the 3-2 away defeat against Sevilla FC .

He also played at European club level for the first time. In the playoff game for the Europa League against the representative from the Netherlands NAC Breda on August 20, 2009, Fuster was substituted in for Ibagaza in the 80th minute. The game in Breda could be won 3-1.

Fuster has played for Olympiacos Piraeus since 2010. Thanks to his commitment and identification with the club, he became a crowd favorite. In 2015, Fuster extended his contract with the Greek record champions until 2017.
