The German Embassy Riga is the most important foreign mission in Germany in Latvia . The building of the embassy in Riga is located at Raina Bulvaris 13. Built in 1868 by the German-Baltic architect Heinrich Karl Scheel (1829–1909) for a Riga merchant, it was acquired in 1920 by the German Empire . After decades of use by the Red Army , it was returned in 1992 and extensively renovated from 1995 to 1997.

Nikolai von Schoepff has been the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Riga since August 2019.
