Mach, who starts for TSV Buchenberg , completed his first international competitions as part of the Nordic Ski Games at the OPA 2015 in Seefeld . In the following years Mach competed regularly in the Alpencup , where he achieved his best overall ranking in 2017/18 with thirteenth place.
At the end of January 2018, Mach made his Continental Cup debut in Rena , where he reached the points for the first time on the second day of the competition. In the summer of 2018, he started in the Grand Prix in Oberstdorf , but twice just missed a place in the top 30. In the 2018/19 season, Mach consistently scored Continental Cup points and was nominated for the Junior World Championships in Lahti, Finland . While he finished 15 and 32 in the individual, he won the gold medal in the team together with Luis Lehnert , Simon Hüttel and Julian Schmid . A few days later Mach made his debut in the World Cup . At the Gundersen competition on February 3, he reached 27th place and thus won his first World Cup points. After three more points in Schonach , he finished the World Cup season in 62nd place in the overall standings.
In the summer of 2020, Mach was recognized by the Bundesstützpunkt Oberstdorf and Sparkasse Allgäu as the “Elite Student of Sports 2019”, as he was not only able to draw attention to himself in terms of sport with his debut in the World Cup, but also completed his Abitur with an average grade of 1.0.
