David Prats Racero (born April 3, 1979 in Barcelona ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Prats first played at FC Barcelona . In the summer of 1999 he moved to Austria on loan to the Bundesliga club Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz . He made his Bundesliga debut in July 1999 when he came on as a substitute for Manfred Eisbacher on the second day of the 1999/2000 season against SK Rapid Wien in the half-time break . In that season he played nine games for Bregenz in the Bundesliga and remained without a goal.

For the 2000/01 season Prats returned to Spain, where he joined the third-rate Terrassa FC . In September 2000 he made his debut in the Segunda División B when he was on the first day of that season against UD Alzira in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 65th minute by Antonio Jesús Madrigal. He scored his first goal for Terrassa in January 2001 in a 2-2 draw against the B-team of RCD Mallorca .

After a season at Terrassa, he moved to league competitor CE Mataró in 2001 . In his first game for Mataró in September 2001, a 3-2 defeat against the B team from Espanyol Barcelona , he scored his first brace in the third-highest Spanish division. In the same month he made three goals in a game for the first time in a 5-0 win against UE Lleida . At the end of the season, Prats had 36 appearances in Segunda División B, in which he made 23 goals. Together with Haruna Babangida, he was the top scorer in the second group of the Segunda División B.

For the 2002/03 season he moved to the second division Polideportivo Ejido . He played his first game in the Segunda División in September 2002 when he started against Terrassa FC on the first day of that season. In the game that Ejido lost 2-1, Prats scored his first goal for the club. At the end of the season he had 33 appearances in the league, in which he scored eight goals. Prats was substituted on in 18 of the 33 games. In his second season at Polideportivo Ejido he came to 31 second division appearances and made three goals.

After Prats only made two appearances for the club in the first half of the 2004/05 season, he moved to third division FC Girona in January 2005 . For Girona he completed 21 games in Segunda División B by the end of the season, in which he scored five goals.

After half a year at Girona, he joined FC Badalona for the 2005/06 season . In his first season with Badalona, ​​Prats was the top scorer of his team right away: he scored 13 goals in 33 league games. By 2011 Prats had completed 206 third division games for the club and scored 73 goals. In the 2008/09 season he was the third top scorer in the third group of the Segunda División B with 19 goals.

After six years with Badalona, ​​he moved to CE l'Hospitalet for the 2011/12 season . For l'Hospitalet he played in 36 league games that season and scored 14 goals. In summer 2012 he joined the UE Sant Andreu . For Sant Andreu he played 18 games in the third division, in which he scored two goals.

In July 2013 joined Prats, the fourth-rate UE Vilassar de Mar on. He ended his career in September 2013.

His brother Jose Antonio (born 1967) played for CE Premia in the Segunda División B .
