David Rieff
David Rieff (born September 28, 1952 , in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American publicist . Rieff is the son of the American intellectual , filmmaker , writer and activist Susan Sontag and the American sociologist and cultural critic Philip Rieff .

David Rieff is the author of 8 books and edited the diaries of his mother, Susan Sontag . He received criticism for the selection and shortening of the contents of the first two diaries .
