David Rosenbloom is an American film editor .

Life

Rosenbloom has worked as an editor since the late 1970s, initially for various television productions, including several episodes of the Hill Street Police Station . Here he worked for the first time with the director Gregory Hoblit , who was also involved as a producer on the series. From 1993 onwards, Rosenbloom was only involved in feature films.

Occasionally Rosenbloom is also active as a director. In 1983 he directed an episode of Hill Street Police Station , followed by individual episodes from other television series. He co-produced the series Equal Justice . In the films Das Tribunal (2002) and Untraceable (2008) he appeared as a second-unit director.

Rosenbloonm and director Gregory Hoblit continued their longstanding collaboration with the film Land in Flammen (1993). Their last film together was Untraceable from 2008.

At the 2000 Academy Awards , Rosenbloom and his colleagues William Goldenberg and Paul Rubell were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Editing category for their work on Insider .

For his work, Rosenbloom has been nominated several times by the American Cinema Editors for the Eddie Award.
