De Horst is a village in the Dutch municipality of Berg en Dal . Until the dissolution of the community Groesbeek on January 1, 2015, the place belonged to this.

De Horst is about two kilometers east of Groesbeek and northeast of Breedeweg , the two closest, larger towns. The village is not far from the German border, the neighboring community is Kranenburg .

Population development

The highest number of inhabitants on De Horst since 1995 was in 2001 when the place had 1,300 inhabitants. Since 2011 the population has almost stagnated and fluctuated between 1,215 and 1,225 people.
