Erlecom is a village under the administration of the municipality of Berg en Dal in the Dutch province of Gelderland .

geography

The village is located in the Düffel , a natural landscape between Kleve and Nijmegen , and is bordered to the north by the Waal river .

politics

Until December 31, 2014 Erlecom belonged to the municipality of Ubbergen . On January 1, 2015, this merged with Groesbeek and Millingen aan de Rijn to form the new merged municipality called Groesbeek . As a result of a citizens' referendum, the name was changed to Berg en Dal ( German  "Berg und Tal" ) on January 1, 2016 , which is a fitting description of the topography of the municipality.
