action

Eight medical students went on a weekend trip to the snowy mountains of Norway. But one after the other, a horde of Nazi zombies led by Colonel Herzog were cruelly butchered. Only Martin survived the massacre and had to saw off his infected arm.

Now he wakes up in the hospital and has the wrong arm sewn on, namely that of the colonel, and he has his magical, evil powers. The local police know nothing about the SS zombies and suspect Martin of being a serial killer. He is able to free himself because of his new strength in his arms and sets off with a three-man army from the United States, the "zombie butchers" Martin, Blake and Monica, to stop Colonel Herzog and his henchmen. Because he is far from finished with his "work". While he was still alive he had personally received an order from Hitler to massacre the inhabitants of the small Norwegian town Talvik in retaliation for the sinking of the Tirpitz . On the way to Talvik, Herzog slaughters Norwegian civilians and partly “recruits” them for his army. In order to be up to the Germans in battle, Martin uses his newly discovered powers to wake up Soviet soldiers executed by the Germans. Martin manages to arrive in Talvik before Herzog and evacuate the resident population. A battle breaks out between the Germans and Martin's followers. When the battle seems to have been lost, Martin and Daniel manage to kill Herzog with the help of a tank and so break the spell. Although Martin is still wanted by the police as a mass murderer, the threat posed by the Nazi zombies has been eliminated. Martin withdraws at the end of the film, but still brings his girlfriend Hanna, who died in the first part of the film series, to life.

In a post-credit scene , a Nazi zombie doctor who is still alive finds Herzog's head shot off. This opens his eyes.

Reviews

Boyd van Hoeij wrote in the Hollywood Reporter Dead Snow 2 was "a smoother sequel that offers even more B-movie fun and blood".

Cinema described the film as "a hodgepodge of grotesquely exaggerated ideas with a high disgust factor and dry humor".

The film service called Dead Snow 2 a "crude-comic blood orgy that deliberately skimmed the edge of good taste, which delights in the cult status of the first part."
