Dedesdorf ( Low German Deendörp ) is a district of the borough stooping in Nienburg / Weser in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

geography

Dedendorf lies between Hoya and Bücken, 24 km north of the district town of Nienburg / Weser, between Bremen (46 km) and Hanover (72 km).

The village of Dedendorf is 5.58 km² and has about 300 inhabitants.

history

An urn grave field indicates settlement before the year 800. In the first documentary mention from 1179, two farms are confirmed as the property of the St. Stephani et Willehadi monastery in Bremen. In the 13th century , Verden Abbey owned two farms in Dedendorf. The Bassum Abbey was also wealthy here. Most of the possessions belonged to the Bücken Abbey . After the introduction of the Reformation , all farms belonged to the Counts of Hoya . On August 1, 1972, part of Dedendorf (Wienhofsiedlung) was assigned to the city of Hoya . Since March 1st, 1974 Dedendorf has been part of the municipality of Bücken .
