The dyke and water association Vogtei Neuland is a dyke association based in Winsen (Luhe) .
Association area
The Deich- und Wasserverband Vogtei Neuland is responsible for parts of the community of Stelle and the city of Winsen (Luhe) in the Harburg district. The area includes all properties protected by the Elbe dyke and the dike on the Ilmenau up to a height of +7.50 m above sea level, including the higher ground elevations within this area.
The main dike line in the area of responsibility of the dyke association is 6.5 kilometers long. It extends on the left bank of the Elbe from general plan kilometer 589.9 on Seevesiel to general plan kilometer 596.4 on the Ilmenausperrwerk . There is also the protective dike on the left side of the Ilmenau from the Ilmenausperrwerk to the state road 217 between Winsen (Luhe) and Drage .
The border of the association area follows the Seeve in the north , which here represents the border to the Seevetal municipality , then follows the municipal border at Steller See to the federal motorway 39 and follows this a few hundred meters to the east. It then runs on the edge of Stelle, where it follows the Hanover – Hamburg railway line to run south of Stelle again in the area of Autobahn 39. In Winsen (Luhe), it finally follows the course of the Winsen – Hützel railway line and continues along the Winsen – Niedermarschacht railway line or regional road 217 to Ilmenau. From here the left dike of the Ilmenau forms the border of the association area up to the Ilmenausperrwerk.
The association area of the Deich- und Wasserverband Vogtei Neuland borders in the northwest on the association area of the Harburger Deichverband and in the southeast on the association area of the Artlenburger Deichverband .
tasks
The dyke association has the task of protecting properties in the association area from storm surges and floods . To this end, he maintains the dikes in the association area.
Association structure
The association is represented by a committee that is elected by the association members. The committee in turn elects a board of directors.
Members of the association are all landowners and leaseholders of the properties located in the association area.
