Delio Rossi (born November 26, 1960 in Rimini ) is an Italian football coach .
Career
From 1993 to 2005 Rossi coached the Italian clubs Salernitana Calcio , US Foggia , Pescara Calcio , CFC Genoa , US Lecce and Atalanta Bergamo . With Salernitana and Lecce him each managed promotion to the Serie A .
In 2005 Delio Rossi took over the position of head coach at Lazio Rome . In 2007 he led the team in third place and Lazio took part in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League .
In November 2009, he replaced Walter Zenga as coach of US Palermo , but after a 7-0 swat by his team against Udinese Calcio , he was prematurely released from his contract on February 28, 2011.
His successor was Serse Cosmi , who, however, had to vacate his post in April 2011, and Rossi then returned to Palermo as coach. For the 2011/12 season, however , he was replaced by Stefano Pioli .
Delio Rossi took 8 November 2011 as coach sacked Sinisa Mihajlovic at Fiorentina and received a contract until the summer of 2013 when Fiorentina.
After he replaced the Serbian player Adem Ljajić in the 32nd minute when the score was 0-2 in the game of the 36th round against Novara Calcio on May 2, 2012 , this provoked him, whereupon Rossi Ljajić attacked physically. On the same evening Rossi was sacked by the club boss Andrea della Valle with immediate effect.
In the 2012/13 season he coached Sampdoria Genoa , at the beginning of the 2015/16 season briefly at FC Bologna , where he was replaced by Roberto Donadoni at the end of October .
