Dengkofen , earlier thought oven , is a hamlet in the district Tunzenberg the community Mengkofen in Lower Bavaria Dingolfing-Landau .

location

Dengkofen is mostly on the left (north) of the Aiterach about two kilometers northeast of Mengkofen.

history

In the Middle Ages, the village was divided between the court brands Hofdorf (four properties) and Tunzenberg (five properties). A mill is also mentioned here in 1599 , which belonged to Hofmark Hofdorf as the fifth property, but which burned down in 1640 .

With the formation of the community in 1818, Dengkofen and the neighboring Ettenkofen initially became a separate community. The former farmstead (a house and a hearth ) and the later hamlet of Rogau , which formerly belonged to Hofmark Mengkofen, were also assigned to this. Like Ettenkofen, the Dengkofen community was dissolved in 1824 and incorporated into the Tunzenberg community, which in turn was incorporated into Mengkofen on January 1, 1971. On the cut-off date of the census of May 25, 1987 Dengkofen had 79 inhabitants in 21 buildings with living space with 27 apartments.
