Denis Alexandrowitsch Mossaljow ( Russian Денис Александрович Мосалёв ; born February 28, 1986 in Kartaly , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Sochi in the Continental Hockey League since July 2018 .

Career

Denis Mossaljow began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2003 to 2005 . The 2005/06 season spent the attacker at Energija Kemerowo from the Vysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, for which he made his professional ice hockey debut. In a total of 48 second division games, he scored five goals and gave nine assists. For the 2006/07 season he returned to Magnitogorsk and became Russian champions with the HK Metallurg professional team . He contributed to this success with four goals and two assists in 13 games.

From 2007 to 2010 Mossaljow was under contract with HK MWD Balaschicha , for which he was first used in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . With the HK MWD he was defeated in the 2009/10 season by league rivals Ak Bars Kazan only in the final of the playoffs for the Gagarin Cup . After the season, the HK MWD was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the left-handed shooter received a contract for the 2010/11 season with their successor team OHK Dynamo . With the OHK he won his first Gagarin Cup in 2012 and was able to repeat this success in 2013 - after the club was renamed HK Dynamo Moscow. After the 2014/15 season, his contract with Dynamo expired and Mosalyov moved to Lokomotive Yaroslavl . There he was under contract for a total of three years and completed over 170 KHL games for Lokomotiv.
