On the street she runs into two women who have been released from prison. They watch their friend who wants to sell a chain so that she can take the money to her hometown far away from Tehran. But the venture fails and she is arrested.

Your two friends are now looking for another way to get the money. But a woman cannot travel without her husband's consent. Only one student is allowed to take the bus back to her home country alone. But Nargess cannot identify himself.

She seeks out her friend Pari, whom she also knows from prison. Pari has escaped from prison pregnant and is now fleeing her father's house to avoid the brothers' vengeance. She wants to have the abortion but cannot find a doctor because she needs the father's permission for the abortion. She is now four months pregnant and the last hope is to be a former fellow inmate who works as a nurse and is now married to a Pakistani doctor.

Outside the hospital, Pari observes a mother with her finely dressed little daughter. The mother leaves her child and hopes that a good family will take her in. She has already tried this three times, but never had the heart. This time it succeeds and the girl is handed over to the police.

The woman is left alone, is picked up by a car and drives away, but the driver turns out to be a police officer. When they get into a traffic control, she gets out and conducts the investigation of a man who was with a prostitute. The client is ultimately allowed to continue, but the prostitute goes to prison.

Reviews

  • Lexicon of international films : A day in the life of six young women in Tehran who are trying to break out of the rules that discriminate against women and which begin at birth. The fates, connected like a loose dance, are staged unobtrusively, realistically and emotionally captivating, even if the director criticizes the situation only indirectly.
