The Lone Ranger (originally The New Adventures of The Lone Ranger ) is an American animated Western - animated series . The series was originally broadcast with 28 episodes in two seasons between 1980 and 1982 as part of the Tarzan / Lone Ranger / Zorro Adventure Hour .
In the first season the episodes had a running time of 24 minutes each, which was shortened to 12 minutes in the second season. In Germany, the original order of the broadcast was not observed.
action
The series is based on the character of the Lone Ranger and his Indian friend Tonto, who fight for justice in the Wild West. The figure was invented in 1933 by Fran Striker and George W. Trendle . The animated series followed a successful series with radio plays on the radio, television series and movies.
In some episodes, the Lone Ranger and Tonto meet historical figures like Buffalo Bill and Belle Starr . Mark Twain , Alfred Nobel or Mathew B. Brady
After each action, the ranger gives a brief explanation of what happened.
DVD release
The series was released on July 26, 2013 by Universum Film / Studio 100 Media on a 3-DVD box. In the blurb, the production dates of the previous series The Lone Ranger - Rider with the mask from 1966 were incorrectly stated.
