The snake ring is the third part of a 14-part series with Sherlock Holmes as the main character.

Either Hugo Flink or Ferdinand Bonn played Sherlock Holmes , directed by Carl Heinz Wolff . The film was produced by Wolff's own company Kowo . The length of the film is four acts with a total length of 1135 meters, which corresponds to about 62 minutes running time. The Berlin police imposed a youth ban on the film (No. 41489), the Munich police did not allow any announcement as a detective film (No. 26695, 26696, 26697, 26698).
