Dereck Germano Kutesa (born December 6, 1997 in Geneva ) is a Swiss - Angolan football player who plays on the position of midfielder .

Career

societies

Dereck Kutesa played for Servette FC Genève since his youth and received his first professional contract (3-year contract) with the traditional club on October 18, 2013. In the near past, he was the youngest Servette player to receive a professional contract. He plays primarily in the central midfield, but can also be used in the position of the right winger.

The signing of Kutesa was part of Servette FC's general tactic to increasingly involve particularly talented youth players in the team at an early stage. They also wanted to prevent the player, who was also being watched by other teams, from being lured away by these clubs.

After the recent relegation of Servette FC in the third class Promotion League , Kutesa could no longer be held. He moved to FC Basel for the 2016/17 season .

On September 13, 2017, Kutesa was loaned to FC Luzern for one year until June 30, 2018 . After his return from Lucerne, he was signed by FC St. Gallen in July 2018 , which provided him with a three-year contract.

In summer 2019 Dereck Kutesa left Fc St. Gallen and went to the French first division club Stade Reims.

National team

Kutesa currently plays for the Swiss junior national team. So far, he has played 35 games for various junior national teams in Switzerland (as of July 26, 2017).
