Dario Maresic (born September 29, 1999 in Graz ) is an Austrian football player . The defender has been under contract with the French first division club Stade Reims since August 2019 .
Career
society
Maresic started his career at his hometown club SV Frohnleiten , where he started playing around his sixth birthday. After he and his class often took part in tournaments in which youth teams of SK Sturm Graz were also represented and he stood out for his performance, the then youth leader of SK Sturm soon approached him to bring him to the Styrian capital club. After he had previously canceled twice, his father persuaded him to move to the state capital, where he moved in early April 2007. After he and the Academy had played first in the youth teams, he made his debut on 21 March 2015 until 15-year-old for the second team of Graz in the Regional when he takes on 19th matchday of the 2014/15 season against SC Kalsdorf in the starting XI was called up.
For the 2016/17 season, Maresic moved up to the professional squad. After joining the Bundesliga team for the first time in July 2016, he made his Bundesliga debut on April 9, 2017 , when he started against FC Red Bull Salzburg on the 28th matchday of that season and in the 70th minute was replaced by Sascha Horvath . At 17 years, 6 months and 11 days, Maresic was the youngest player who had ever made his debut for SK Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga.
In August 2019, he moved to Stade Reims in France , where he received a contract that ran until June 2024.
National team
Maresic played for the Austrian U-16 team for the first time in February 2015 . In August 2015, he made his first appearance for the U-17 team against Montenegro .
In April 2017, he completed a game for the U-18 selection . In June 2017 he made his debut in a friendly against Hungary for the U-21 team . In the game that Austria won 2-1, he also scored his first goal for an Austrian selection.
