Derek Fernandes
Derek Fernandes (born May 14, 1954 in Sirsi , Karnataka , India ) is an Indian clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of Belgaum .
Life
Derek Fernandes received on 5 May 1979, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On February 24, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Karwar . The Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Pedro López Quintana , donated him episcopal ordination on April 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Bangalore , Bernard Blasius Moras , and the Bishop of Belgaum , Peter Machado .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Belgaum on May 1, 2019.
