Peter Machado
Peter Machado (born May 26, 1954 in Honavar , Karnataka , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bangalore .
Life
Peter Machado received on 8 December 1978, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On February 2, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Belgaum . The Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Pedro López Quintana , donated him episcopal ordination on March 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Bangalore , Bernard Blasius Moras , and the Archbishop of Goa and Daman , Filipe Neri António Sebastião do Rosário Ferrão .
Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Bangalore on March 19, 2018. The inauguration took place on May 31 of the same year.
