Derog Gioura (born September 1, 1932 in Ubenide , † September 25, 2008 in Nauru ) was a Nauruan politician and former President of the Republic of Nauru.

When his predecessor Bernard Dowiyogo died on March 10, 2003, he was elected interim president by the Nauruan parliament . Shortly afterwards in the parliamentary elections on May 3, he was narrowly re-elected to parliament and ran for president, along with Ludwig Scotty and Kinza Clodumar .

On the following May 29, 2003 Gioura suffered a heart attack , whereupon he was eliminated as a candidate. He was admitted to a hospital in Melbourne, where he was treated. On the same day the parliament elected Ludwig Scotty as the new president. Recovered from his illness, he returned to Nauru and supported René Harris in his successful attempt to overthrow Scotty with a vote of no confidence . Gioura has since been Nauruan Minister for Women and Family. Since Harris was ousted in a renewed vote of no confidence on June 22, 2004, Gioura was deposed as minister, but remained as a parliamentarian. However, with the dissolution of parliament in October 2004, he lost this mandate. He also failed to be re-elected in the new elections that followed shortly thereafter.

Gioura's granddaughter Gabrissa Hartman also became a Member of Parliament in 2017.
