Deumai ( Nepali देउमाई ) is a city ( municipality ) in eastern Nepal in the Ilam district .
The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Dhuseni and Mangalbare . Deumai is 10 km west of the district capital Ilam . The city administration is located in Mangalbare. The urban area covers 50.7 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Deumai emerged, had 10,964 inhabitants (of which 5,237 male) in 2,414 households.
