German derny championship

The German Derny Championship for men has been held since 1978. Derny races are a discipline of track cycling .

The championship was held with points scoring in the first few years, i. H. During the total distance of the race, point evaluations were carried out. The winner of the race was the team that had scored the highest number of points at the end of the race without falling behind the competition. Later the German Derny Championship was contested on the final sprint, d. H. the team that crossed the finish line first after the advertised distance had expired had won.

From 2001 to 2013 this championship was not hosted. As of 2014, she is again included in the championship program of the Association of German Cyclists .
