The German national rugby league team represents Germany on an international level in rugby league sport. She played her first unofficial game in 2005, the first official in 2006. The sport was organized by the German Rugby League Association until 2015 . The German Rugby League national team took part in the Central Europe Development Tri-Nations tournament in 2006 and played in the RLEF European Shield competition from 2007 to 2010 . These competitions were sponsored by the Rugby League European Federationpromoted. There were clashes with the national teams of Austria, Estonia, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Italy. The team should not be confused with the national teams of the German Rugby Association , which participate in competitions in 7-a-side rugby and 15-a-side rugby.
