Dhanushadham ( Nepali धनुषाधाम Dhanushadham ) is a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Dhanusha district .
The city was created in 2014 through the merging of the Village Development Committees Dhanusha Govindapur , Dhanushadham , Umaprempur and Yagyabhumi . The city is named after the Dhanush Mandir ("Temple of the Arch"), in which the bow of Shiva, broken by Ram, is kept. The urban area covers 90.07 km².

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Dhanushadham had 45,008 residents (21,824 of them male) in 8603 households.
