Dhi Qar ( Arabic ذي قار, DMG Ḏī Qār ) is an Iraqi governorate with an area of ​​12,900 km². In 2003 1,454,200 people lived here. The capital is Nasiriya . Together with Maisan and Basra , Dhi Qar plans to create an autonomous region.
