dialog - Association of German and Russian Economists is a non-profit association that was founded in Tübingen in 1998 and has been active in regional groups in several regions of Germany and Russia since 2003 . In 2009 it was the largest association that developed the exchange of students, young professionals and experts from Russia and Germany on a non-governmental level through voluntary commitment and without being dependent on an official organization.

target

The association supports the exchange between German and Russian economists in science and business and brings future executives from both countries into contact with each other and with more experienced people from companies and institutions during their studies and at the beginning of their professional careers. The network of universities, companies and associations is intended to add a non-governmental level to the cultural and academic exchange between Russia and Germany.

development

It was founded after a conference of students and professors from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and Russian universities. By continuing the studies of some active members of the young club in Berlin and studying abroad in Moscow , the first club activities also developed outside of Tübingen. In the year 2000, the association was awarded first place for the exchange between German and Russian students and young professionals in the sponsorship award of the German-Russian Forum in the field of promoting young talent and interns. Since 2007 dialog has also been involved in the Schillerstraße competence center in Berlin, which brings together a large number of organizations specializing in Eastern Europe. In 2009 there are regional groups in Tübingen, Berlin, Chemnitz , Leipzig , Trier and Frankfurt am Main as well as in Moscow, Tomsk , Yekaterinburg and Saratow with a total of around 350 members. The association's activities are mainly carried out by students, doctoral candidates and young professionals and are supported by an advisory board made up of experts.
