The jungle heroes - Operation: Südpol is an animation film that was released in 2011 and premiered on May 4, 2012 on Super RTL in Germany . The protagonist is spoken synchronously by Dirk Bach .

One day walruses appear at a penguin colony at the South Pole and claim half of the fish from the penguins . To emphasize their demand, they throw an egg from the penguins into the water, which drifts from the South Pole to the beach of a jungle. There the penguin hatches and is raised by a tigress. From then on, the penguin "Maurice" painted stripes on his body to look like a tiger and learned to fight, which earned him the name "Tiger Warrior". His friends are the gorilla “Harry”, the bat “Flederike”, the singing warthog “Fränk or Fred”, the goblin monkey “Grummel”, two poisonous frogs and a tiger fish named “Junior”, which Maurice takes along in a fishbowl. Maurice tries again and again to teach his "son" the tiger fish to fight, which leads to funny situations.
In the meantime, the legend of the “tiger warrior” has spread to the southern homeland, where the penguins Ping and Pong set out to look for the tiger warrior. You find something in the jungle and manage to take him and his friends to the South Pole. A first encounter between Maurice and the walruses ends with a victory for the walruses. Because of this revolt, the walruses are now demanding all the fish from the penguins and take all the penguins' eggs with them as a "deposit". If the jungle friends didn't go away in two days, they wouldn't see the eggs again. Maurice can win his friends over (by bringing a sad young penguin who has lost his little sister, an egg, and who cries all the time) to continue the mission. They try to outsmart the walruses with the wrong eggs and take the right eggs back with them, which they succeed. Except for the little penguin, no penguin knows about the plan. When the heroes return in the morning with the real eggs, the joy is huge and the heroes are finally accepted. The "Tiger Warrior" trains the penguins and his friends, and together they develop a plan to drive away the walruses that come in the evening.
The second time they meet the walruses, they want to capture the eggs again - and when they see Maurice, so do him and his friends. Now the entire penguin colony is attacking the walruses in a dive - literally, because they had built ramps that morning. Then the penguins dive down to lure the walruses into the water, so that when they emerge the walruses get stuck in the narrow holes and are fixed by the penguins and beaten up by the hard-hitting Harry. However, "Junior" comes into the power of the semi-blind leader of the walruses. Another walrus has a fight with Grummel. He almost lost, but the walrus was distracted by Harry. The following fight of the penguins against the walruses goes out in favor of the penguins and their allies from the jungle. The walrus that was looking for the real eggs is also beaten because it got a rash on the two poison frogs (who always sit in two coconut shells at Fränk).
Now a fight breaks out between the walrus, which Junior has in his power, against Maurice. Maurice seems to succumb. However, Junior jumps out of the fishbowl (just as Maurice had taught him to do), makes a small battle cry (as his father had taught him), flies on the non-blinded eye of the walrus and puts it out of action for the time being. Maurice then lets himself be fired at the walrus using the slingshot principle (with the help of the tongues of the two frogs), Junior ends up in the glass again and Maurice and the walrus lie motionless on the ice surface. His allies believe Maurice is dead and sing a kind of memorial song. Maurice wakes up again and asks in astonishment: “Oh no! Who died? ”The walruses run away, because in the meantime the rest of the penguins have put the walruses to flight, and a victory celebration begins, at which the young penguin's little sister hatches. Maurice and his jungle friends say goodbye to the penguin colony and travel back to the jungle.
Back in the jungle, everyone goes back to their usual life. Maurice lets Junior out of the glass so that he can fight the warthog for practice. Gasping for air, Junior is lying in the sand again until Maurice puts him in the glass.
At the end, Maurice takes on a crocodile and is beaten up by it. A camera team films him while doing an interview with him. In addition, Maurice makes the remark “Dad has to teach the ladies handbag some manners” and overwhelms the crocodile.

The plot of the film is based on The Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa . The film is comparable to Happy Feet and Madagascar . A DVD and Blu-Ray of the film were released on April 26, 2012.
In 2013 the series The Jungle Heroes was produced. In this series, Maurice is dubbed by Michael Pan after Dirk Bach died on October 1, 2012.
