Ms. 45 (AKA Ms. 45 ) is an American thriller of Independent - director Abel Ferrara from the year 1981 . The film belongs to the genre of Rape-and-Revenge film in which a woman after a rape on revenge muses. The main role is played by model and screenwriter Zoë Tamerlis Lund .

On the way home from her work in a New York sewing shop, mute Thana is attacked and raped by a masked man. After dragging herself home injured, she is raped again by a burglar. However, Thana is able to overpower the attacker and kills him with an iron. The young woman dismantles the corpse in her bathtub, and she discards the individual body parts all over the city. She keeps the perpetrator's 45 magnum . But Thana does not let go of the double rape, she suffers from nightmares and hallucinations .

When Thana tries to dispose of another body part, she is watched by a young man who follows her and wants to return the discarded bag without knowing what is inside. Since Thana feels persecuted by the man and fears that he will be raped again, she shoots the young man with the rapist's 45 magnum. This experience triggers a transformation in the young woman and she now sees her task in revenging the world of men. Armed with her pistol, the formerly staid worker roams New York at night as a seductive vamp and shoots every man she feels molested by or who molests other women.

When Thana's curious neighbor discovered the dead rapist's head in the young woman's apartment, she alerted the police. Meanwhile, Thana sets up a massacre at a party to which she was invited by her work colleagues . Disguised as a nun, she first shoots her boss who wants to seduce Thana, then she kills several men at random. Eventually she is stopped by her colleague Laurie with a knife and mortally wounded.

The lexicon of international films describes the work as a "cold-blooded, monotonous rampage". The American journalist Jeffrey M. Anderson describes the film as "A brilliant, gory - and finally human - cult classic" (a brilliant, bloody - and ultimately human - cult classic). Cinema magazine ruled: “A cult thriller not only among feminists” and, like many other critics, praised the pro-feminist tendency of the film. The film is referred to in the All Movie Guide as “meditation on gender roles”.
