action

The self-confident student Shruti Kakkar dreams of opening her own wedding planning agency . She already has a name for the business - it should be called "Shaadi Mubarak". She wants to become one of the great wedding organizers in India and gives herself five years to focus entirely on business. This is initially ridiculed by Bittoo Sharma, a college student . But when his father gave him the task of growing sugar cane and continuing the family tradition, he promptly joined "Shaadi Mubarak" as a partner. Thanks to their commitment, they are getting more and more orders, so that they are quickly booked out and make a name for themselves in Delhi early on .

Everything changes when Shruti and Bittoo sleep together and Shruti breaks their most important business rule: "You must never fall in love with someone you work with!" All the worse for Shruti, who has already fallen in love with him. They clash and Shruti throws Bittoo out of business. Out of defiance, Bitto founds his own agency, which he calls "Happy Wedding".

However, both cannot build on their previous successes and drive themselves to ruin. Only a large order can save the two and they reluctantly pull themselves together. During the big wedding planning they realize how much they miss each other. Bittoo shows remorse and confesses his love to her so that they can finally celebrate their own wedding.

criticism

“The wedding sets are brightly colored and lavish, the costumes suitable, the camera work superb. Nothing seems extremely intrusive or stylistically distant here, it's all about the appealing embedding of the story and its main characters. And that also means that Delhi once again plays a major role: the film is tailored to the city, its language, its lifestyle. All this may not be enough for a big blockbuster and box office hit, but with good music, convincing actors and a pleasing Delhi feeling, "Band Baaja Baaraat" is good for entertaining entertainment. “Undemanding, relaxed comedy that creates colorful sparks from a wide variety of wedding arrangements and benefits from the joy of playing of the two main actors. The atmosphere in the metropolis of Delhi also plays an important role. "
