Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh ( Hindi रणवीर सिंह ; born July 6, 1985 in Mumbai as Hindi रणवीर सिंह भवनानी Ranveer Singh Bhavnani ) is an Indian actor .
Life
Since childhood he wanted to be an actor. He moved to the United States and earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University Bloomington . In addition to his studies, he took acting lessons. After completing his studies and returning to Mumbai in 2007, he worked in advertising as a copywriter. He then worked as an assistant director and began to send his acting portfolio to directors and producers. After three and a half years, he was cast in January 2010 and received a leading role in Baaja Baaraat . In 2011, Singh had great success with his second film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl , directed by Maneesh Sharma. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Singh received several awards for his performance alongside Deepika Padukone in Ram-Leela , which became a hit . In 2014, three films with him were released and he appeared in one of them as a guest. He was seen as a coal bandit with Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in Gunday . In the role of Dev in Kill Dil , where he plays Chopra alongside Parineeti , Singh failed to convince the critics and the film flopped. In Zoya Akhtar's family drama Dil Dhadakne Do , he shared the screen with Anil Kapoor , Priyanka Chopra , Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma . In the film Bajirao Mastani , Singh played the warrior Bajirao I and won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance.
He has been married to the Indian actress and film partner (Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat) Deepika Padukone since November 14, 2018 .
