Morning hours of a good boy is a Romanian youth - drama from 1967. It is based on a short story by Constantin Stoiciu .

After the young welder Vive had an accident at work and was rushed to hospital, both his friend Fane and the attending doctor believe in a suicide attempt. The situation is very different. Because Vive lives the life of a failure who failed to study. After serving in the military and working as a copier. He had to keep hearing from his father, a railroad worker, that he was an idiot and not fit for work. He indulges too much in life and would much rather meet his former schoolmates Romanche and the "Blonde". Bored with his life, he tried to find himself, left home and found a job as a welder. He quickly befriends his superior Fane and also had a short-term relationship with Stela. Another relationship soon develops with Mariana, the fiancé of the engineer Stefan. He gets close to her and Stefan quickly becomes jealous, so he fights for Mariana, who is bored of him. When Emilian Cioba, an important employee, dies of cirrhosis of the liver and everyone is at the funeral, Stefan beats Vive so that he gives up his job and goes back to his parents. But a call from Mariana brings him back to work, where he really had an accident and did not want to take his own life because of the unhappy love for Mariana.
