action

This year, Marlène Veber is working for the first time, with many other volunteers, in a special department of the Post, where the letters are received that the children write to Santa Claus. Before that, she had dealt with children in her candy store, whom she had always taken very deeply into her heart. She is particularly touched by the letter from little Celine, who is in hospital with a broken leg after a car accident. She lost her mother in this accident and wants Santa Claus to have her dad so that she can live with him and not have to go to a home.

Marlène visits the child in the hospital and now pretends to be Santa's secretary to give Céline a little hope that her request has been heard. But that's not enough for the girl. Celine doesn't want to leave the hospital until her father comes to pick her up. So the good-natured Marlène has no choice but to find the father of the child, of whom nobody knows who this is. Sébastien Roche, whom she met while trying to make a child's Christmas wish come true, helps her with this search. Sébastien is an unemployed watchmaker who likes the variety of things to do. But the task turned out to be more difficult than expected, because Celine's mother led an eventful life and had traveled all over the world. Her neighbor Christian, who has known the girl since she was born and has a good relationship with her, would like to take her in, but Celine is firmly convinced that Sébastien is her father and that she will come to live with her soon after he is with Marlène was in the hospital to visit her. Since she is telling this around in the clinic, one assumes that this is true. Marlène tries to convince Sébastien to play this “game” for Céline's sake and to actually take it.

After Celine is still not picked up for Christmas, she runs away from the hospital without further ado. Sébastien can no longer help himself and is registered as a biological father. However, a genetic test should be carried out for the final decision. To get around this, Marlène uses a legal trick so that this test does not have to be taken. The guardianship judge sees through the story, but is ready to turn a blind eye to the child's happiness. During all this time, Marlène and Sébastien also spent a lot of time together and got closer. They decide to move in together and be good parents to Celine.
