The Social Courts (SGb) is a legal journal that has been published monthly since 1954 - formerly by Verlag Chmielorz, now by Erich Schmidt Verlag . In some years a 13th issue was published as a special issue.

The print run was one thousand copies in 2013; the circulation is no longer shown separately in the media data for 2017 .

The journal is aimed primarily at practitioners and legal scholars who are concerned with social law. Each issue is divided into the categories “Articles”, “Current Decisions” and “Case Law with Notes”.

Thirteen professors and social judges are the editors of the journal Die Sozialgerichtsbarkeit . The editors are in the hands of judges at the Federal Social Court Peter Becker and Professor Eberhard Eichenhofer .
